Week 13, 2022: I wanna be elected (already)

It’s the week in which 18 councillors got elected before a vote was even cast, raising serious questions about local democracy. Ferries are still delayed, campaigners are still pinning down a date for services to resume at a downgraded maternity unit, Scotland’s plan to ease reliance on oil was delayed, and we moved further out of Covid restrictions.
